Calling All Artists!

OPEN CALL: Fresh Ground Pepper FEAR at Magic Futurebox

Mark your calendars for October 29th: FGP comes to MFb for a Halloween extravaganza - Submit your work now!

CALLING ALL ARTISTS for Fresh Ground Pepper FEAR in collaboration with Magic Futurebox.

Forget the ghouls and goblins, this Halloween, FGP and Magic Futurebox are teaming up to bring you a true night of terrors. An evening filled with haunting art and chilling performances. Let's just say, you'll wanna bring a clean pair of pants to this party. But don't go crying to your mommy just yet... WE NEED YOU AND YOUR ART! We are looking for proposals from any and all artists. The only requirement: It must toy with the utterly terrifying. It must explore our FEAR.  We seek everything from installations to exhibitions to live performances of all genres... really anything gruesome, gory or dreadful your twisted mind can come up with. The event will take place at MFB's massive, darkened warehouse space. The audience will be centrally located in the space with with the performances/exhibitions mostly happening around them. We ask that you keep these things in mind when conceiving your project.

So gather up your spooks and join us in exploring fright. We'll provide an all night witching hour. YOU provide the FEAR. SUBMIT your proposals to fgpnyc@gmail.com by October 8.

Please include:
1. A concise description of your idea.
2. Who will be involved? Will you need help gathering performers/ technicians/ etc?
3. How long do you anticipate your piece will be? Is it a performance, or an installed exhibit.
4. What are your technical and set-up needs?
5. How will you interact with the audience?

Any and all ideas are welcome so encourage your friends to participate! And MARK YOUR CALENDARS for Fresh Ground Pepper FEAR at Magic Futurebox on October 29th.

Who will survive? And what will be left of them?

MFb's Friends in Fringe Festivals

It pains us to be unable to jump the pond to Edinburgh for the weekend, but MFb wants to show our support for some great shows and talented people. We have some friends helping to make the Edinburgh Fringe Festival unforgettable this year! Here are some of the shows we are especially excited about:

Mission Drift

Brought by our friends The TEAM-- a company co-founded by Jess Almasy, who was recently seen in MFb’s Sometimes in Prague at the Ice Factory Festival, under the direction of the amazing Rachel Chavkin, and with Joe Cantalupo as Technical Director, who has designed for three of our shows!

Scottish Sperm

Starring Dylan Lamb, who, incidentally, has been involved in more MFb productions than any other person ever, most recently Demon Dreams.
