Magic Futurebox is:

Kevin Laibson (Co-Founder, Executive Artistic Director) is a producer, director, improviser and teacher from New York City. As artistic director of Full Circle Theatre Company, Kevin directed the twice-extended Off-Off-Broadway revival of Jeffrey, and the Off-Broadway debut of Marta Rainer's acclaimed Unaccustomed to my Name. Regionally, he has directed for the Village Productions, Exclamation Theater, and the Tri-Country Performing Arts Center in and around Philadelphia. In 2009, he directed Skyscraper National Park, an experimental improvisational theater troupe which performed on rooftops in Brooklyn. He is a graduate of the New Actors Workshop, where he studied acting and improvisation under George Morrison, Mike Nichols, Paul Sills, Rex Knowles, and Sherry Landrum, and studied at Second City under Michael Gelman, Mary Scruggs, Norm Holly, and Anne Libera. He currently teaches acting and improvisation at the New York Film Academy and curates theatre at The Tank.

Suzan Eraslan (Co-Founder, Executive Artistic Director) is a theatre producer, director, Shakespeare teacher, and designer from Knoxville, TN, based in New York City. As Programming Director of The Tank, she presented the works of hundreds of artists in New York City. From 2008 - 2010, she has served in the capacity of curator, festival organizer, and producer of the Bent Festival, a three day international sonic art festival of circuit-bending and home-brewed electronics. Suzan holds a BA in Dramatic Literature from the University of Tennessee and has studied theatre at the University of London, the Shakespeare Institute, and Westminster College. She earned a Masters Degree from New York University's Interactive Telecommunications Program, studying the effects of technology on culture and community with professors Douglas Rushkoff and Clay Shirky, and creating wearable electronics.

Ben Mann (Producer) is a New York based artist, actor and writer from Buckinghamshire, England. As an actor, Ben is a proud member of the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain and recently starred in the main cast for their 50th anniversary year celebratory show in Trafalgar Square, London. Ben is also a founding member of the international creative media group Nose2Nose, and since 2005 his directing and acting work has taken him across England and out to Japan and India. He has written several plays and musicals over the years of many varieties, mostly collaborating with his older brother for a local theatre group in his hometown. A recent graduate of the New York Film Academy, Ben’s NYC theatre experience has brought him to The Tank for two productions, firstly starring in Philip Ridley’s Mercury Fur as Spinx and more recently as Scratch in Julian Mesri’s Blood & Cake.

Lucía La Maga (Magic Futuredog), or just "Luc", came to NYC from Mississippi; she never talks about her former life, however, so the details of her pound puppy origins are murky. She is mostly responsible for patrolling the aisles of Magic Futurebox in search of tennis balls, trotting authoritatively into production meetings to beg for attention, and nimbly stealing junk food from unsuspecting hands. Her only credit includes stepping in for Lemon the Dog for most of the run of the New York Times lauded SEEWATCHLOOK. Like most dogs, she finds Restoration Comedy hilarious in a way humans never will, but she prefers the American playwrights of the Modern era such as Eugene O'Neill, Tennessee Williams, and Arthur Miller, and someday hopes to assistant direct Thornton Wilder's The Skin of Our Teeth for Magic Futurebox. She would like to thank PetFinder.com for their support in making her big city dreams a reality.
